IME’s consulting team is comprised of individuals with an array of expertise relevant to specific health sector interventions. The team consists of clinical practitioners trained and experienced in the delivery of optimum medical care and related services. It also has senior public health physicians, health systems specialists, health economists, health planners, telehealth/telemedicine and ICT specialists, as well as information technology, health facilities and equipment specialists.

Organizing and sponsoring conferences to facilitate the dissemination and exchange of relevant medical and public health information has played an important role in IME’s mission. IME's educational conferences have been held, in cooperation with the United States Department of Health & Human Services, the World Health Organization, the Medical Research Council of South Africa, the Georgetown University Medical Center, the African Telehealth Educational Project, and the National Medical Association of United States, and others, in Nairobi, Kenya; in Sun City and in Cape Town, South Africa.
