International Medical Exchange, Inc. (IME) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that depends on the assistance of public and private donors, partners and volunteers to provide medical services to the most vulnerable populations in Africa. Approximately 85% of all funds raised by IME go directly to the provision of our services which provide relief to the afflicted and hope to the hopeless in the most underserved communities in Africa.

Your gift to IME is tax deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law.

How to Donate to IME

1. Credit or check card: Using our secure environment that employs state-of-the-art encryption technology that protects your privacy, you can make a secure credit/check card donation online.
   
   

2. IME also a member of the JustGive.org network. If you wish, you are welcome to donate to IME through their secure system.

3. Mail: Make your donation via check, money order, bank wire transfer or other financial instrument. Our contact information is located here.
   
   
4. Phone: You may call our offices to make your donation by phone.
   
   
5. Associates Monthly Giving: Associates of International Medical Exchange, Inc. commit to a gift of monthly assistance to support our activities. As an associate of IME, your monthly giving assures regular and predictable funds that ensure our work continues uninterrupted. You can become an associate of IME online, by mail or phone.

At the end of a fiscal year, you will receive a tax-deduction receipt for your donations. Each month that you are an associate of IME, your monthly regular donation is transferred from your bank account or credit/check card to IME. You may increase, decrease or suspend your gift at any time online, by mail or phone.

Estate and Trust Giving to IME

Gifts through your estate to International Medical Exchange, Inc. can be made via:

In-Kind Gifts

The underserved patient communities of Africa can benefit directly from in-kind as well as cash gifts and grants to IME. The following list is by no means inclusive, but includes some of the items and materiel most critically needed at this time:

• Medicines:
• (a) medicines for HIV/AIDS patients: Anti-retroviral medicines, supplements and drugs to fight opportunistic infections
• (b) antibiotics
• (c) antimalarials
• (d) oral hypoglycemics
• (e) anti-hypertensives
• (f) multivitamins
• (e) anti-helminthics
• (g) analgesics
  
  
• Dressings, Bandages, Sterile gloves, disposable gowns/caps/face masks, sutures, syringes and needles, etc.
  
  
• Medical equipment: x-ray unit, mammogram units, sphygmomanometer, weighing scale, EKG machine, ultrasound scan unit, hospital beds and all other hospital furniture and related items.
  
• Equipment to support IME's telemedicine initiatives and mobile health clinics is also needed.
